It seems like every time I come into a new Marina, they dock my boat with the prevailing wind coming over the stern(the back of the boat). Since I have an inmast rollerfurled mainsail, a slit has to be cut in the mast to be able to roll the sail inside. The only problem is, that slit acts like a reed in a wind instrument and when the wind blows, she “Footloose “ howls like a banshee.
To keep peace in the neighborhood, I turned her around and will probably sleep better tonight and my neighbors won’t shoot me.
