I’ve been heard recently to say “I hate this place”. Actually my dislike has been mainly the yard where Footloose has been for almost 4 years. Just yesterday, I was talking to another Yachtee from San Carlos(just west of Guaymas). and mentioned that my boat was at Marina Guaymas. His immediate retort was (the dirt yard). He was right on, it’s an unpaved area that is just filthy all the time and to make matters worse, every so often the sewer overflows and runs right down the middle of the access road to the Marina (giving new meaning to the phrase “shit runs downhill.

Now that I’m across the bay and away from “The Dirt Yard”, it’s not that bad. I’ll try and add a couple pictures so you can see how pretty the area is. One Is a sunset and the other from the Marina that I’m at now. It’s too bad the Marina left me with a bad taste, but the people that I’ve met and have become friends with, overcomes the crap. The people I’m referring to are both the Mexicans that work in the yard and other boat owners and their families from all over the world.
