Just the thought of Alfredo makes you want to grab a fine bottle of Chianti and get ready to manga. Only problem is that this Alfredo is the owner of a restaurant in Cabo. I have been trying to get to the Capitan de Porto to register into Mexico. Since it’s Saturday I knew it wouldn’t be open, but was assured they worked a halve day on Saturday. Guess what, no one was there so I found a little bar/restaurant down the street to soak my anger with cervessa(beer for you gringos). Since I was also on a mission to find the Napa Auto Parts store, which was supposedly near, I asked a guy delivering cups to bar if he knew where it was. NP too stupid as I thought a delivery guy would know his way around. He looked at my map and he showed to the bartender and they determined they knew where it was. This delivery guy then said he would drive me there and I asked if I could buy him a beer, he said no but a cup of coffee would be fine. Once in his car it became obvious this guy was not. some delivery guy, but the owner of the restaurant Alfredo( his name not the restaurant). He drove around and finally determiined there was no Napa Auto. He then took me to a friend’s boat shop and was able to buy the cable I needed for $39.00 not $100 as I had paid a day earlier. I can’t wait until Jim Barron and Cathy Matthews get here so we can go and try out Alfredo’s Restaurant. I will go there for lunch on Tuesday when I go back to the Capitan Del Porto( Monday is a holiday).
If that wasn’t enough, I stopped at a new Tai Place and had a wonton snack and met a very nice couple from Florida/Texas, Harriet and Darrell( just like my other brother). They invited me to watch football and eat sloppy joes tomorrow.
Some days are just keepers and I would say today was one of those.
